Procedures for getting a Florida Real Estate License for Georgia agents
1. Go online to the link below and activate an application account.
Remember your application number, user id number and pin number
2. Work your way through the application for mutual recognition from Ga.,
and print out the forms required for signature and notarizing.
3. You will need to fax a request to the Ga. Real Estate Commission for a
copy of your License History to be mailed to you. Be sure to include your name,
license number, and address on the fax. It will take about a week to get your
certified copy in the mail. (fax # 404 656-6650)
4. Florida will mail you a finger print card ( may take a few weeks)
and you will need to take it to your local sheriff's office to get finger
printed. Be sure to fill out only what is requested and get the officer to sign.
While there you will need to get a current copy of your criminal history. It
cost about $15.00 but take cash for this.
5. While you are out go by your nearest Wolfe Camera and get Two 2 x 2 inch
passport photo's made. It cost about $12. You will need these for your
application.
6. You can pay your application fee online. For mutual broker it was $153.
7. Once you have completed all this and completed the online forms there is
one form that must be printed out and signed in front of a notary. Don't forget
this one. DBPR form 0030-1.
8. Mail everything, I recommend ups overnight, to Division of Real
Estate, 1940 N. Monroe St. Tallahassee, Fl. 32399-0783 Be sure to make a copy of
everything.
9. Once they process your application and if everything is complete they will
contact you by mail that you are approved to schedule for the 40 question
Florida exam.
10. Below is a link to get study material for just the 40 question Florida
state exam.
11. Once you have gotten approval from DBPR then you can
schedule for the exam.
